Pediatric-Occupational Therapist

Salary: $90-$100 per hour!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and their families to help them achieve their developmental milestones and improve their daily functioning. You will be working with children from birth to age 6, providing assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services in a supportive and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children’s physical, sensory, and cognitive skills.
  • Identify developmental delays, disabilities, and other challenges affecting the child’s ability to perform daily activities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each child, focusing on improving motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
  • Set realistic and achievable goals in collaboration with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance the child’s ability to perform daily activities, such as dressing, feeding, and playing.
  • Use a variety of techniques, including play therapy, sensory integration, and adaptive equipment training.
  • Monitor and document the child’s progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers, helping them understand their child’s needs and how to assist in their development at home.
  • Offer guidance on adaptive strategies and equipment that can be used in the home or school environment.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in team meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and state licensure requirements.

Must have:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience working with pediatric patients, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric development and common childhood disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
