Primes Pediatric Development Center is a growing pediatric therapy center located in Dumont, NJ, dedicated to providing exceptional care to children from birth to age 6. We offer a range of services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, nutrition, early communication, and parental education. Our mission is to foster a nurturing environment where young children can develop and thrive with the support of a multidisciplinary team.

We’re excited to welcome a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and their families, supporting them in reaching developmental milestones and enhancing daily functioning. The position involves working with children from birth to 6 years old, providing assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children’s functional abilities, including motor, sensory, and play skills.
  • Identify developmental delays and challenges; develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Work with children (birth to 6 years) using tailored therapeutic approaches like play therapy and sensory integration.
  • Implement interventions to enhance daily activities.
  • Educate families on adaptive strategies and at-home support techniques.
  • Document progress and adjust plans as needed within our EMR system.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in ongoing education.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • NJ State Occupational Therapy License; NBCOT certification.
  • 3+ years of pediatric occupational therapy experience, especially with children aged birth to 6 in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with a range of challenges, including Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, and ADHD.
  • Proficiency in assessments using standardized tools and clinical observations, with experience in goal setting and report generation.
  • Strong communication skills with parents, children, and co-workers.
  • Empathetic, team-oriented, and committed to supporting children and their families.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in sensory processing, reflex integration and/or DIR/Floortime.
  • Experience with neurodevelopmental approaches, such as NDT, DMI, CME, Medek.
