Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Compensation: $100 Per hour

Primes Pediatric Development Center is a growing pediatric therapy center located in Dumont, NJ, dedicated to providing exceptional care to children from birth to age 6. We offer a range of services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, nutrition, early communication, and parental education. Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong background in assessing and treating speech and communication delays, as well as related disorders. Experience in feeding therapy is a plus. The ideal candidate will have expertise in addressing Receptive/Expressive & Pragmatic Language Disorders, Apraxia of Speech, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Oral motor evaluation and treatment, and experience working with children on the Autistic Spectrum.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate parents and caregivers, offering guidance on at-home support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and continue to grow professionally through ongoing education.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from a program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Valid New Jersey speech pathology license.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing individual therapy to children in clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated experience with children aged birth to 6, with a wide range of challenges.
  • Empathetic, team-oriented, and driven to go above and beyond to support the needs of children and their families.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
